I made the reservation online and add a special request, since it has water view! I request a window with water view. Upon arrival, we were promptly seeted by a window with a great view of the bay! The ambience very pleasant and the live music along with great menu options and a perfect service made a very pleasant experience for my family!

On an island where the competition in the food and beverage industry is strong, ELA's stands out for this almost 20 year annual visitor. Fresh, perfectly prepared seafood. Great presentation, everything fresh from the shrimp and scallop ceviche, the house specialty crabcake that was all crab to the pan roasted grouper that was nothing short of perfect. Dining at Ela's was one of the best experiences we've had on the Island. The food was outstanding. The Halibut was cooked to perfection and the Diver scallops were fantastic. The service was excellent! And the view of the water was outstanding! We will definitely be returning to Ela's in the near future.

This was our first visit to Ela's. This restaurant was suggested to us by a passer-by in the Shelter Cove area. The food was wonderful -- the wine selections great -- the service was exceptional (our server - Eduardo -- thank you!). We had the fried green tomato appetizer - great! For dinner, I had the lobster/linguine special & my husband had the crab cakes. Chocolate soufflé for dessert. ALL delicious! After dinner, we walked around Shelter Cove area. Lobster carbonara, need I say much more. Island casual, friendly and professional staff, fresh local ingredients, off the tourist path. Worth the trip to shelter Cove, enjoy

We had a delightful meal on a rainy night, which didn't hinder our quest to eat outside. The covered deck is lovely and offers a nice view of the marina and part of the cove. Quality furniture and accents meant that dining outside didn't have to be a step down in ambiance or style. Service was excellent...every staff member we passed welcomed us and was ready to assist. We did not feel rushed through what we chose to be a leisurely dinner. Most of our food was quite good, although I will, in the future, stick to my instincts... read more

We had a good meal but expensive for what it was. Better options include Old Fort Pub or the Chart House for similar expense

We discovered a great new favorite dining choice ! Food choices were excellent and everything we had was superb! We will add to our list of favorite restaurants.

We only dine here once a year during our Hilton Head vacation - but we will always dine here. Great locale, excellent food, perfect service all adds up to peaceful elegance. Bravo.
