Is it fair to rate a fine dining restaurant on Thanksgiving? Probably not. It was an excellent meal except: How can you have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with no sweet potatoes, especially in the South?? Other than that omission, I thought it was a stroke of genius to offer both their regular menu AND the traditional Thanksgiving one (minus sweet potatoes as noted above.) My wife and I have visited Ela's twice in the past 2 months. It has quickly moved to the TOP of our special places to dine. The food and presentation are sensational. Keep up the good work.
Our second time to Ela's. Service and food top notch. Decor, especially artwork by Peter K., surrounds the diner with a relaxed, sophisticated ambiance. We've recommended it to many and will return repeatedly ourselves.
Restaurant was 'out' of two of the major components of menu - we both had 2nd choice dinners. This did not add to pleasurable experience. It appears to be a new operation struggling to make a location with a 2nd deck view and a large veranda make it through the winter. Grouper was very heavily sauced. Muscles were very good with chorizo in a white wine broth. Bread for sopping up broth was thin and already toasted - didn't sop up much. Myself and two of my girlfriends enjoyed our monthly get together at Ela's. The view as fantastic of Shelter Cove Marina and the food was wonderful. We received at 15% off coupon for our next visit and plan to go soon.

We were there years ago and disappointed at that time, but decided to try again. Much, much better from ambiance to service to food....... Really enjoyed ourselves. A cool night so inside by a requested window. Love the decor! We were a party of 5 and tried different items. Filet was superb as was all the rest. We will return to sit outside and enjoy the live music. Thanks for providing a great spot, especially on the water!
ELA's is the newest restaraunt on the island and we were blown away by the breathtaking views along with the delicious food we had for dinner. Try their calamari and their filet mignon. My girlfriend had the scallops and she said they were the best she's ever had. Give this place a try and you won't be dissapointed. Good job guys keep up the good work!!!
What a cool place! The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. The grouper and the filet were unreal and the service was great... they have live music thursday-saturday and the musician is extremely talented and very entertaining...this place exceeded my expectations as I have been coming to hilton head for years and wasn't sure about the location. The water view has to be the best on the island and I will absolutely be returning soon.
