I had read some great reviews about ELA's, and was looking forward to it. My experience that evening unfortunately was a let down; the service was poor and the food was just OK. Our server was AWOL most of the evening, after waiting 10 minutes for our drinks I had to go inside to find him chatting with the bartender and no drinks in sight. The volume of the music is overwhelming. Can not not hear yourself think, much less talk, unless you are far away from music.
The grouper was very tasty. Calamari was good, though it looked nothing like calamari. An event downstairs was very loud, making conversation a little tough.
Had a wonderful meal in great surroundings!
First let me say this place is way far away, down in a far corner of a neighborhood. Not easy to find. But the food was worth the adventure. The ambiance was inviting and warm. Very little noise. The food prices were a bit high but not over priced. Very well prepared and we'll seasoned. The only complaint is that their medium is more of a rare, at least my duck was. The server was very polite but not friendly. He didn't seem interested in providing exceptional service. I would this to friends and family.
A local recommended Ela's to us our last night in Hilton Head. Delicious food, lovely ambiance and impeccable service. Good variety on the menu. Lots of good seafood choices. Our waiter, Jason was great ! View was beautiful and relaxing. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

Great location overlooking the boats at the dock and the marshland. The server was very friendly and knowledgable of the menu. My daughter enjoyed the wedge salad and pretzel encrusted chicken. My wife remarked about the large size of the 6 shrimp of her appetizer! Most places served 5 smaller shrimp. The flounder and lobster risotto, by far the best meal on HHI!!! One our favorites when we on the island. Always great food and love the live music on Friday and Saturday.
