We had dinner there on Wednesday night for our first time. We had heard good things about it. The receptionist was very nice and seated us upstairs where we had an elevated table and a great view of the marsh. It was our anniversary dinner so they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne. Year 7! Yes, this is the seventh yearly visit to Ela’s on the Water and with good reason. We love this place! Management is visible and proactive. The servers? Delightful. Engaging. Polite and professional. Information provided and adept at guiding us through the options of the menu for specials of the evening and the delicious mainstays.
Great food, and wonderful ambiance on the harbor! We were so lucky to get Karen for our waitstaff. She made our experience memorable in the best of ways. Karen was as fantastic as our food. Can’t wait to go back again and request Karen for sure!
What a pleasant early afternoon. We were unaware that Ela's had Brunch on Tuesday afternoons starting at 12 Noon. Evidently they have Brunch all week. We arrived around 12:30, were promptly seated, extremely pleasant wait staff took our order, food was delicious, what a great way to start the afternoon. WE dined out on the deck, view of the boats and water was perfect ambiance. We will definitely see you soon.
It was our Anniversary and we were warmly welcomed and given a complimentary glass off champagne which was so nice. Then things went downhill. We had reservations for over 2 weeks and we were placed at a table in the middle of the upper floor under bright can lights like we were on display. Seating was very uncomfortable with no place to put our feet due to the table pedestal being too large for the space. setting on the water was beautiful: to cloudy for sunset but the colors of the sky were magnificent!! my Tuna was great !!
The venue is spectacular! Our server, Kumar/Rohit?,was friendly, competent, knowledgeable and professional. The food was mediocre. The scallops were over cooked. The Grouper was dry and tough to cut. The vegetables were OK. Overall, not the quality I expected. Jack
