We celebrated our 50 Wedding Anniversary and our dinner was fantastic. The PAN SEARED GROUPER and the SEAFOOD SCAMPI BUCATINI were very tasty. The night was perfect for dinning outside with a cooling breeze and quite surroundings.
We love Ela’s! The food is excellent. The service is outstanding! The whole experience is wonderful!!
I usually like going to Ela’s, but this visit fell below expectations. Our server was very nice until we had to wait 15 minutes between the time we asked for and received the check and more time to pay and sign. The food was average: I really didn’t care for the gumbo and her lobster bisque just had a hint of lobster taste. We only had two appetizers each but the delivery time between the first and second round was way too long . It doesn’t mean we won’t go back, because all our other experiences were positive
The food was good next time I would skip on the crab cakes and our waitress was a little rude but the ribeye and swordfish made up for it.
We were not told about the swordfish special until after we had eaten. The waiter never let us know of any of the specials. We were a little upset because the swordfish did sound very good. The waiter shrugged it off and just left with no apology.
Love the patio seating on the water, especially on Tuesdays when you can watch the fireworks during the summer
Don't go on Tuesday evening fireworks night during the summer at Shelter Cove. They do not have sufficient parking for the night. It is hard to tell whether everybody in the parking lot actually have reservations at the restaurant, but I think they need to police it by only letting people with reservations park there. It's hard to enforce because it is also marina parking there. Their overflow lot also parks up and is a 10 minute walk away which doesn't work for walking challenged people. They do have an elevator.
