I rarely review anything on Yelp, but I had to this time because of the exceptional service we received from inspector Mike Romanick. Everyone told us that the home inspection is the scariest and most disappointing part of the home buying process. However, Mike make it the best part! Eric just did an inspection for my clients at a property in New Milford. He was very professional and thorough. Took the time to explain everything to my clients who are first time homeowners. Very professional. David can see more issues in a few minutes than most can see in an hour. He spotted and zeroed in on the main issues, documented them and provided us with a very detail report. He worked well with my agent and the home owners to highlight the issues. He showed us the issues and made sure we understood what was needed. I highly recommend him.

Hi I recently used Sherwood Inspection Services to inspect 2 houses for me in Amherst, MA. The inspectors were Matthew Kaufmann and Ed Wagner. They gave us the most thorough, professional inspections I have ever seen. We purchased a bigger home and Sherwood Inspection Services were recommended by friends. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the inspection and the knowledge of these guys. If I could rate them 6 stars, I would. Our inspector, Frank, spent all the time we needed him to take not only inspecting the house, but also teaching us how to use the furnace, explaining how the AC works and introducing us to the (very new to us) well water. Awful inspection and company. First time homeowner in 2020 and used them. They failed to catch many major problems, I only found out about after I bought the damn house. For one my entire attic was mold ridden and the whole roof had to be replaced. No mention by them that they don't notice any ventilation, which would be a major sign there was attic problems. I had my inspection with Michelle yesterday. I have mixed emotions about the inspection. She's nice, answers questions, etc. My mom and sister were with me, which was helpful because my realtor doesn't ask a lot of questions and is quite timid. Michele looked through every aspect of the house, answered our questions, but there was one issue in particular, I definitely feel should be in the RED zone of her report. I'm glad to see all you buyers were elated with the services Sherwood gave you guys. However, little do you know, is they fail home inspections for one reason and one reason only...to create more business from you. I'd be curious to know how many of you did multiple inspections with this company during your house hunting experience? That many of the failed items were in fact not failed and they were shooting from the hip without verifying?
