Before buying a house, I was very excited to here when most of my friends shared their buying experience with Builders like Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pulte. I am VERY disappointed in the amount of money I spent and the quality of the house. It is in no shape, form or fashion a $300,000.00 home. It is very cheaply made. Single pane windows. NO SCREENS in the windows. I paid $34,000 in upgrades and don’t feel like it was worth the money. Nor are the upgrades worth what I spent. Flooring is cheap. $5000 upgrade cabinets are not with it. Next purchase will not be with Smith Douglas.
I will not be recommending Smith Douglas to a friend. Over the course of our build, it has been nothing but a headache. Nobody takes ownership of mistakes and instead points the finger at someone else, or they just refuse to fix it altogether. It has been like pulling teeth to try and get anything done in regards to our home.
I will never buy another smith Douglass Home you spend over 400,000 on a home you expect quality homes are being completed too fast too many errors and quality is not good
The build quality is very substandard in this price range. Very cheap quality kitchen appliances, sink & garbage disposal. Extremely cheap shabby shelving in pantry (& bedroom closets). Total lack of bathroom vanities/sink units. AC unit totally dysfunctional within 1st week! Too many other issues to list.
Already trying to get my brother out here!
First week in home had to file 3 warranty claims.
