I have been trying to get in contact with Warranty with a complaint list. There is a hole on the outside wall that needs immediate repair. The sewer cleanout value is in the air. There are several problems that I am unhappy about. I do not know if it went through when submitting on the warranty page, as it did not show a confirmation.
We requested items to be fixed prior to closing and they were not.
Absolutely not. The house and neighborhood itself is fine and good. But buying directly from the company I do not recommend.
The quality and attention to detail in the finish carpentry work is horrible!! There was construction debris left all over the yard! Screens don’t fit. Dead bolts won’t fully lock. The sod looks like it was done it a big hurry and looks horrible!
The house was supposed to be clean before we moved in. If it was, the cleaning service should be fired.
Lots of unresolved issues. Unable to get help for a long time. Have lived in my house for almost 2 months and I'm still waiting on the last unresolved item to be fixed.
Terrible communication with the sales person, they make their problem your problem.
My score is low not for the builders representative Jeff Proctor he was excellent during the whole process. It’s the tradesmen who made my score low. Work done sloppy. This is a brand new home and it looks like it was renovated by amateurs.
My experience with purchasing my home was stressful and frustrating. Any issues that arose were always explained away with poor, unrealistic excuses. The only reason why any of my requests or issues were met or resolved was because I had to push and push and push. Smith Douglas’ sole interest is to sell homes as quickly as possible and keep the customer in the dark about any issues or communications with the builder.
