SML helped us out of a jam by setting up a move the same day. We were left with an emergency when the movers we had originally hired did not show. We had to rent a Penske truck. I got in touch with SML through the Penske truck site. They were able to set us up with people the SAME DAY to load the truck as well as people on the other end to unload the truck. They set us up with a two hour window for the movers to arrive and called within the first 5 minutes to make sure they had gotten there--both times. My only issue was tha... read more

Moving team mediocre Movers arrived on time and packed truck quickly. They said they were going to use all 30 tiedowns and moving blankets but they did not . It took them 20 minutes to fasten one tie down. It seemed they did not know how to work it. They said they were going to stay in the box spring and mattress up on the side of the truck but wound up throwing the mattress on the back of the truck where it wouldn't stay put. Great Experience with unloaders I was moving from Texas to California and packing myself and driving the truck but I knew I would need help unloading. So for the first time ever I used this service and the team that SML sent to my house was really great. They literally just wanted me to point to where things go, and they were really helpful making sure beds were setup and furniture in the "right" place! So simple and efficient! Best crew ever! Communication at its finest! From the very start we knew when things were happening , confirmations, phone calls, all outstanding. Then the movers- amazing! Professional yet approachable and very efficient and effective. Everything completed in a timely manner and serious packing skills! Nothing, not one item shifted or was damaged in transit. I Had A Positive Experience I learned about SML - Simple Moving Labor from another company. I had hired them to unload a 16ft. truck. The process was simple and had no problems. I had called them on a late afternoon and by the next day they were out to my residence ready to unload my belongings. There were no damages to my property. Their staff were on time and courteous to me. I really appreciate their availability.

They worked fast, with heavy loads. After I gave you my credit card number, someone went to Macy's and charged a lot on my card. The card had to be canceled.

Hard workers The 2 guys that came to unpack us had a scheduling problem but they called us and let us know they were on their way. We showed them what we wanted them to unpack from our truck and they started right away. Of the 2 young men one of them seemed more experienced and was definitely more on the ball than the taller one (his name was Cory, can't remember the other one's name, sorry). It was a very hot day but they did the job and didn't complain. I would hire this company again.
