I was using this location when it was Hill St Storage, and continued with the new owners. Received a letter initially raising my rent from $50 to $80 a month. Calmly told them I couldn't afford a 60% increase in rent, and I'd have to move. Josh then changed it back to $50. I appreciated that, since there was no air conditioning or proper lighting in the units. I got a storage space here when it was just Hill Street storage. The folks running the place were a little rough around the edges but they were nice and honest and it was cheap. StaxUP bought the property and promptly screwed it all up. I was given TWO weeks notice that I'd have to move by the new manager Josh. It was sudden and it was a huge pain in the ass but Josh assured me he'd help me out. First he offered me the use of a truck bc they had a deal with uhaul (that would be helpful). Hey James, Looks like there was a lot of miscommunication, which I apologize for. The last thing we want is for a customer to leave having had a bad experience. We are doing massive renovations to the Hill Street location to make it a much better facility to serve the El Cajon area.
