This shop's mechanics are experienced and reliable. The front desk is friendly and helpful. Sometimes their loaner car is available so you can get on with your day. They've given me free rides home and back to the shop. When I've waited around, I've gone to restaurants, a supermarket, a hair cutter, and retail businesses in walking distance, so the location is a plus.

Stress free kept their word on their $50 full synthetic oil change discount for new customers. Also there gave me a free inspection which was awesome. Additionally Erick T. Did an amazing job servicing me and helping me get serviced quick and efficiently as possible. Thank you Erick T. and team for servicing me on a wonderful oil change. Also if you like BJJ you should definitely talk to Erick.
Stress-free provides great service in a caring and friendly manner. I have been going to them for years back when they were Bob'sAuto shop. I highly recommend them.
I've been a happy customer of Bobs Auto for years. I was pleased to see Steve still there getting greasy. my first appointment at Stress Free Auto was basic and went great. I will return soon for a much longer list of maintenance.

Bob's Auto Repair has worked on our vehicles for almost 30 years. His work is excellent and reliable, and the service is completed in a timely manner. They are experienced and professional, and without hesitation I will continue to use them in the future.
I had an oil change in Dec. 2025 in Fremont, CA. My Lexus RX 350 oil line was punctured (not the shop's fault). George quoted me a ludicrous 2K and cited 7 hours of labor at $225 per. I took it to the Fremont Lexus dealership; they did it in less than 2 hours for a total of $515 for parts and labor. This place is not stress free at all. More of a ripoff. Definitely not recommend for anything given their dishonesty.
Front strut replacement on a 2007 BMW 550i. Quoted $3000 which is more than twice the other qualified quotes were. Total rip off.
Hell no not recommended, biggest ripoff in Fremont for auto repair $220 an hour for labor! You gotta be kidding me! They will also upsell you things that you don't need to repair. Biggest con in town. Stay away, no stay far away or you will regret it and be stressed with your bill the opposite of stress free. Car repairs are such a con just as bad as the medical insurance industry.

This used to be Bobs Auto Repair which was outstanding but it was sold to this company. Initiallly it was almost as good but things have recently changed for the worse. Here are the issues: * I asked for full synthetic oil. What they used was some brand I have never heard of, seen in auto stores, or anywhere else. As such I have no idea of the quality.
