Horrible. Do not go here! Busted my brake line on my F-350 2005 6.0 diesel and they literally tried to rip me off. I need brakes, rotors, and calipers, they stated it would cost 1200 to fix and that was at a discounted rate lol. This place is a damn joke. I went and bought the parts for 450 bucks and went to a diesel shop to have it installed for 300.00. Stay away from this place.
I had an oil change in Dec. 2025 in Fremont, CA. My Lexus RX 350 oil line was punctured (not the shop's fault). George quoted me a ludicrous 2K and cited 7 hours of labor at $225 per. I took it to the Fremont Lexus dealership; they did it in less than 2 hours for a total of $515 for parts and labor. This place is not stress free at all. More of a ripoff. Definitely not recommend for anything given their dishonesty.
Front strut replacement on a 2007 BMW 550i. Quoted $3000 which is more than twice the other qualified quotes were. Total rip off.
Hell no not recommended, biggest ripoff in Fremont for auto repair $220 an hour for labor! You gotta be kidding me! They will also upsell you things that you don't need to repair. Biggest con in town. Stay away, no stay far away or you will regret it and be stressed with your bill the opposite of stress free. Car repairs are such a con just as bad as the medical insurance industry.

This used to be Bobs Auto Repair which was outstanding but it was sold to this company. Initiallly it was almost as good but things have recently changed for the worse. Here are the issues: * I asked for full synthetic oil. What they used was some brand I have never heard of, seen in auto stores, or anywhere else. As such I have no idea of the quality. It was there 3 days no solution . just had an attitude issue with Eric . maybe a bad day for him . Not happy at all .
Worst service. My car was breakdown and towed to Stress free. 3 days they kept the car and couldnt figure out tge issue and asking for extra time. Paid 410$ and couldnt figure out the issue. Just grabbing the money. Towed my car to Subaru service and fixed the issue in 2 hours. Also covered under warrany. I dont recommend to go to stress free auto care. You will loose your money
Last year, I took paid Stress-Free Auto Care, Fremont to change my Valve Springs on my new engine in my Chevy Truck. After the service, my new truck engine began to burn oil. After dis-assembling the installed Valve Springs, I discovered that there was no Valve Stem Seal! Additionally, I discovered a broken bolt in the cylinder head and missing fasteners. I am very displeased with the quality of workmanship and will never go back to Stress-Free Auto.
Hi, I was there for changing oil and filter which was fine. but the Manager that I think his name was Eric( I am not sure about the name) he told me that we had inspected your car and it need to change something in the car and we let you know after inspection how much does it cost and said between 400$ -1000$ it may cost you .
