RecommendedSubaru is nothing short of AMAZING!!!! My Tranny went out in my 2014 outback, after JUST hitting over 100k miles. Warranty only good for 10 years OR under 100,000 miles. Did 18 years of business here. My starter went so I brought it in. Went to pick it up and engine light and cruise control light were on. These problems were missed in the diagnostic. They quoted me another 780 bucks. No offers and no owning that they gave me a broken car. Got another quote to find parts were <3.5x the price and the labor was also high from Subaru of Portland. Disappointed and feel ripped off. Do your research before you buy anything here.
We dropped our car off at Subaru of Portland in July for a manufacturer defect. After that visit, we noticed problems with the vehicle that hadn’t existed before. We had to wait weeks for another appointment because they said we had to see the same technician, who barely had any availability, and during that time the issue just kept getting worse. We dropped our car off at Subaru of Portland for a defect due to manufacture error in July 2025. During this visit they performed an inspection where they noted that the back brake pads were "yellow" but the front brake pads were green (over 5mm). Upon receiving it we noticed issues with the vehicle that did not exist prior. We had to wait quite a while for an appointment because Subaru of Portland insisted that we wait for an appointment with the technician who initially worked on the vehicle. I had a $2000+ service coming up, so when I took my car in for an oil change service, I asked the Service Advisor (SA) to do a thorough inspection first, because if there were any big issues, I might just want to trade it in for a new Subaru rather than pay for that work plus whatever the repairs would be. He called and said that they did find a slow leak that would require a $4000 repair, but that because my car had low mileage, he was 99% sure that Subaru corporate would cover part or most of it.
