If I could rate 0 stars I would. My fiancé and I drove 4 hours to Portland to buy a 2021 STI as the previous Subaru dealership in Tri Cities undersold the car we had put $1,000 deposit on. They would not let us drive it off the show room floor which is understandable as their are dangers, so they had a tech drive it off. This person floored the gas out of the dealership doors fishtailing our brand new vehicle into the street hitting turbo when they vehicle was under 1k mileage. Clearly upset, we worked out a deal and still p... read more
Went in for an oil change and the service department neglected to refill the oil. The engine was severely damaged after being driven without any oil. They agreed to replace the engine with a used one and included a one year warranty. 13 months elapsed and we find out that the engine is burning around 1qt/1000 miles. At this point we're out of warranty and the service center will do nothing about it, even though they installed a bad motor after destroying our original. Now the motor they installed developed severe knock and ... read more
I brought my subaru in for a recall service. I was told on the phone it was a quick fix and they could get me in that week. I came in to drop my car off and was told it could be up to three days until my car was done, and that they didn't have any loaner cars. So i was unexpectedly out of a car in the middle of the week. When I picked up my car a few days later there was multiple new scratches and scuffs on the outside, and the inner panel of my center console was taken off (that was not what they were repairing,) and was le... read more
Don't recommend. Scratched my friend's car and took no responsibly for it. See Harron E. post below.
We picked up the car this weekend after work they’ve done and got the car back with scratches on the bumper. I took photos of the before (they’re the only dealership who do not take pictures at drop off as standard practice so I took it upon myself to do it), and after. Now they’re saying the scratches weren’t there. I’ve called at least once a day every day since Saturday, 9 phone calls to be exact. Every person I spoke to said they’d have a manager call me back. They’ve yet to call me. We got a text yesterday afternoon a... read more
Staff was more than happy to sell me a new Subaru, but I traded in a vehicle almost two weeks ago, and I just had to make a payment on it because they haven’t paid off the remainder on the loan (even though they have possession of the vehicle). They also aren’t willing to call us back. Good experience turned sour. Would not recommend Subaru of Portland— take your money elsewhere.
I had gone in for an appointment to get a new key fob which I was originally told would be only a 30 minute thing but was then given a rental since it was going to be more like 2 hours. Everything seemed fine and I didn't get asked to come back until the next day around 5pm but was unable to come in time before close because of how far I was from the location. I come back the following morning right after open to pick up my car , and paid for my brand new key fob( sensor unlock function just doesn't work) and when I went to ... read more
Mechanic not wearing a mask while driving my car upon return. Got out, then donned face mask. Had appointment, quoted 2 hours for simple initial service of new vehicle, took 2.5 hours. Unable to make change at checkout, so I overpaid to cover things. My first experience left a lot to be desired.
This is going to be a long winded review but keep in mind all of the following happened BEFORE I EVEN MADE MY FIRST PAYMENT on the car. I decided to buy a car from Subaru of Portland because my mom bought a new Impreza from them and had a good experience with the way she was treated. I traded in a 2010 Camry in for a 2017 Forester because my family is growing and I needed the extra space. They showed me the Forester that had a “certified” sticker on the windshield. I asked the sales person if it was for sure certified and sh... read more
