I moved my parents to Independent Living eight months ago. I have been very pleased with the variety of activities, both physical and intellectual. They have an onsite Pastor, who develops personal relationships with the residents and families, including a support group for caregivers. There are a variety of spiritual services available. My husband and I moved his 91 year old mother to Sunny View 7 months ago from her home in the Valley, and we couldn't be happier with her care. We looked and visited more than 10 other facilities and found Sunny View to be the best. The facility itself is well maintained and very clean, without that musty, disinfectant smell you find in some places. We were impressed with how frequently they update and renovate the facility. In the 7 months my mother-in-law has been there, we've seen several lovely changes to the patio... read more

Thought it time to update my 2015 review! My mother has lived at Sunny View for over a year and a half now. She has loved being part of this community. Recently, due to declining health, we brought in Vitas for hospice coverage. The assisted living staff at Sunny View has coordinated care beautifully, keeping my mother comfortable, clean, and cared for. The staff are beautiful, caring people. Thought it time to update my 2015 review! My mother has lived at Sunny View for over a year and a half now. She has loved being part of this community. My 90 year old mother looked at a number of continuous care facilities near my home. After looking at over 10 facilities, she chose Sunnyview and was place on the waiting list for an assisted living apartment. During her wait, she found herself in the hospital and in need of a skilled nursing facility for rehab. Sunnyview accepted her into their skilled nursing facility. If you need to visit or be in a retirement/rehabilitation center, this is it. This is much nicer than most places - not posh - but clean and friendly. The landscaping is manicured, all the staff members are very welcoming and accommodating. Hilary, a physical therapist, takes extra care of my friend who is staying there temporarily; she is personable, engaging, and very professional. Go check it out for yourself.
