Caring for Seniors is never an easy task. My parents had been looking at several multi-level care facilities in the area and it was my mother that drew them to Sunny View. I have a small seniors services business and I have been moving seniors into Sunny View Retirement Community for about five years. Without exception, all of my customers have found SVRC to be the best choice they could have made. Most say they should have made the move ten years sooner. My grandmother stays here and it seems like they take pretty good care of her. The staff is very helpful and they even hold dinner parties for the residents. I frequently come here to check up on my grandma and most recently came to take her to a pediatrist visiting the community. Everything is within very close walking distance too. A big plus is the fact that they are very accommodating towards Chinese residents as many of the staff are bilingual. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY. The Doctors are rarely seen and it's impossible to speak to them in person or on the phone because they are just not available. All questions and requests are routed through the nurses. My biggest complaint was that I requested a UTI test for my mother because I noticed a change in her behavior. Our family was told that the test was done and that she was fine. Two months later my mother is taken to the hospital because she is in Septic Shock. Why? Because, per Sunny View's medical ... read more

Don't be impressed by the slick website or all the "awards" in the lobby that proclaim the facility's recognition status - they're from the corporation that owns Sunny View. This place has seen better days, which I can attest to personally, as my grandparents lived here 25 years ago. My parents, sibs and I spent A LOT of time here with them.
