Don't be impressed by the slick website or all the "awards" in the lobby that proclaim the facility's recognition status - they're from the corporation that owns Sunny View. This place has seen better days, which I can attest to personally, as my grandparents lived here 25 years ago. My parents, sibs and I spent A LOT of time here with them. Open communication and disclosure of key medical information ensures services are delivered appropriately. My key issue with Sunny View was the their suspect business practices in misleading us their failure in providing a room for my father. Over a period of 48 hours, per their request, we faxed extensive admissions documents to Sunny View in readying to arrive; however, Sunny View expressed a need to conference with me prior to my father's transfer--then continued to fail to show up for a phone calls for two days. At that point, I finally reached Sunny View, only to have their admissions director, Tim Bowman, say he had given ... read more

My mother has been a resident of Sunny View for over a year. The staff and residents are kind, friendly and respectful. Sadly, some of the administration people are less than sensitive and responsive. I have not been happy with the fact that I have to pro- actively inquire regarding my mothers health. My mother went through a serious health crisis a couple of months ago and we changed her living space within the community. Recently I was told by the marketing department that because of the remodeling being done, my mother ne... read more
