In the beginning of the experience, we would ask questions and she would not respond or be rude with responses. Once we complained to her manager she became a little more pleasant but felt like her customer service was not great.

The loan officer told my husband that she did not work for him/customer, that she worked for KB Homes. I felt that was rude and unprofessional. I also feel she should have been patient and took the time to explain all the questions we had for the documents that were being sent to us. We are first time buyers and there was many things that should have been explained. Felt like every time I had a question I was given the run around or made to feel like I was lying. An example would be staying I received the wrong homes inspection only for Susan to tell me no inspection was given, then Timothy cleared up it was wrong, and she stated she needed Dawn yo clarify. Took no accountability and brushed us off. That’s one example of several.

Susan gave us poor financial advice urging us to go for a jumbo mortgage product versus locking in an interest rate on a standard 30 year mortgage. She made numerous mistakes with our loan including locking it for the wrong amount of time (90 versus 120 days). Her explanations of mortgage products were confusing, she neglected to tell us about long term builder rate locks, and she lacked basic knowledge about how solar impacted our loan and taxes in California.
