This is by far the worst AYCE sushi in reno. I'm thinking all the high star reviewers must be from out of town. First of all customers at the bar were seated sporadically so when my husband and I arrived we couldn't sit at the bar because there were no two seats together. Once seated at a table the menu left much to be desired. Here's a sample of what we tried: Appetizers: Crab pouches - overwhelming cream cheese, skimpy on the crab, I like my crab wontons from my favorite ghetto Chinese fast food restaurant better Baked mus... read more
Really need help here! Sushi business in Reno should run like clockwork, and this does not! Love my seaweed salads, but avoid the fishy, rancid one here! Cocky server let out an arrogant "sorry," when I sent back the salad, clearly not his problem. Had to ask the so- called sushi bar waitress for water refills, additional order menus, and didn't bother to ask where the rest of our appetizer order was, or when she would be so kind as to take our order. Ambiance is clearly a make-shift eatery in the middle of a drunken casin... read more
Hands down best sushi my husband and I have ever had. All you can eat for 22.95 includes appetizers and a free hot sake!!!! It is small, decent service. Sushi chefs are great. You get to choose how hot you want your dynomite roll on a scale of 1-10. I would give it 5 stars if the service would have been better. As far as the quality and quantity of the food...5 stars all the way!!!
I ate here on a recent trip to Reno. The ayce menu was extensive.Miso soup, salad, and many other appetizers all included. The salmon nigiri was excellent as were the hand rolls, although they are quite large.I had a great bottle of cold sake for $15 which seemed bottemless, must have had 8 drinks in there at least, the chefs were super cool, they let me try abalone and seared blue tuna fir Free. A great experience, will be back for sure on my next trip to reno
I always like to check out new places a few time just to make sure my first experience wasn't out of the ordinary, so I tried Sushi Sake again. This time I brought some friends and we all had a great time. All my friends agreed that this place has some of the best sushi in Reno. I loved the mussels again and really likes the Fuji Roll and the Rock n Roll. The rolls were great and the service was fine. The Gents making the sushi behind the bar were crackin' jokes with us. I did find out that free sake comes with all-you-can-e... read more
Went there for lunch. It was not busy at all. Service was terrible. Sushi chef was not bad. Fish was ok, but they didn't have things on the menu. Very disappointing! Would not recommend seeing as there's dozens of sushi places in reno much better. Next time im downtown, kokopellis inside circus would be my choice.
This is the best and freshest sushi in Reno. Just opened in front of Roxy Restaurant at The Eldorado Hotel. Josh, the maitre d is very friendly. Sushi chefs are fun and know what they are doing. FINALLY some different sushi items and innovative rolls. Price is reasonable for the terrific quality of ingredients. I will definately be back
