Best sushi I've ever had. Everything else was up to caliber. My wife and I got three rolls to split. They seemed a little expensive, but they ended up being of good size so it worked out.

If the freshness and quality of the fish and seafood served at Sushi Sake (El Dorado) and Oceano (Pepperrmill) are indicative of what one may expect from all sushi bars in Reno, I wonder where Reno's elite sushi crowd go for their sushi fix. Disclaimer: This is only my second sushi experience in Reno the first being Oceano. Sadly they were both disappointing serving second grade fish and poor quality rice to boot. The fish is not inedible but just not sashimi grade. It does not have the melt-in-your-mouth goodness that a sus... read more

Bottom line, best quality fish of any sushi place in town. They do charge more than some ($24.99 AYCE with dessert/appetizers) but they have a early bird special when AYCE is $17.99 (sit down between 4-5 pm) The bar is in the middle of the all the action and while it is somewhat loud, the Eldo fountain drowns out some of the noise. I had an exceptional experience my first time and I can't wait to go back - the salmon nigiri literally melted away upon first bite. Delicious! Michael is an excellent chef and his presentation wa... read more

I will be back, I like that it is located next to the martini bar and during happy hour martinis are $5 so order your martini with the sushi beverage waiter. They forgot my salmon skin handrolls but I got it..service is slow, but I like it here and no sushi nazis around, plus you get dessert. so enjoy!

I've had my fair share of sushi experiences living in Davis, a small college town with almost a dozen sushi restaurants. But I have to admit that the best sushi I have ever had was here, inside a hotel/casino in Reno, Nevada. I know...I was surprised too. My girlfriend and I had their all-you-can-eat dinner buffet. At the happy hour price of $18, this was an amazing deal. Their selection of rolls, nigiri, and appetizers was superb. My favorites included the Lobster Roll (fresh avocado, generous portions of lobster, and ACTUA... read more

Sushi is absolutely my favorite food and as someone from the SF Bay Area in California, I know fresh fish! And this is by far the best sushi I have ever had. Not only that, but it was an all you can eat buffet for $18! Amazing. An AYCE in the Bay is $20 for dinner and is terrible quality all tough or fried, this was fresh as you can get and beautifully prepared. The Lobster Roll was AMAZING as were the stuffed crap appetizers and Miso Soup. The yellow tail and Unagi nagiri was also amazing and the salmon popper roll was SOOO... read more

All you can eat is the special of the house. Basic items specially prepared. Great location in the great walkway at Eldorado Casino.

The service here was absolutely terrible. Our drinks were never refilled, not even once. We had to literally get out of our seat and track the server down. We had to again chase the server down inside the restaurant and ask for more soy sauce, and when we did, we were looked at like we were asking for the entire meal to be free. We were seated out near the fountains which was rather different having people walking around you all the time. I can't imagine being seated there during peak hours. The sushi itself was pretty good.... read more

My wife and I eat at Sushi Sake 4 to 6 times a month. Our favorite restaurant in Reno. Kwon and Mike are usually our chefs and they always make us feel like we are in our own home. The product is always top notch. Arigato!!!
