I highly recommend Sylvia's Flowers for a wedding. We met with Rich and he did a wonderful job of staying in budget (even a little under - bonus!) and giving us exactly what we wanted. Nothing looked "cheap" and I was a little worried about since he managed to keep the price so low. Everyone at Sylvia's was flexible and open to our ideas and budget. I ordered frm Sylvia's expecting themto deliver flowers to my wife at work for valentines day, but when my wife was suddenly selected for jury duty I had asked them if it were possible to change the delivery location. Anita is who I spoke with on the phone and she was extremely helpful and accomodating. They were able to change the delivery location(a much further one might I add) last minute without extra charge. Sylvia's is the best florist EVER!!!.......I can not express enough how wonderful their service was. Not only did everyone there make sure that I was taken care of, they went above and beyond! I crawled through the Internet and found Sylvia's Flowers. I am in California and wanted to send an arrangement to my sister-in-law at her new job in Wheeling, IL. I was doing all this on a weekend, for delivery on Monday. I did part of the order on line and on the phone. The staff (Meredith, Sue, Alexa) and manager Kathryn were terrific, helpful & very professional.!! The arrangement arrived on time, even with my lengthy message, & was fabulous! They are wonderful to work with....take your floral needs to them. !!

Initially I met with a few florists recommended by our venue, but Sylvia's beat them all by far. I consulted with Rich for my 10/08/11 wedding, and it was wonderful. I brought my "inspiration" pictures and he was off! He had awesome ideas. Some things I was unsure of on paper, but I trusted him completely. In addition to bridal party flowers, Sylvia's provided a willow branch cake ring and black arch covered in willow branchs, lights, flowers and greenery. In our outdoor setting it looked AMAZING! I went to Sylvias, after attempting to buy flower form one of the big online places Im not going to mention them besause they dont deserve the hyperlink it will produce. i was ordering Valentines flowers for my wife that were an okay price just 29.00 dollars by the time I checked out they were 67.00 dollars all fees and BS . so I stopped into SYLVIAS and showed them the picture off of the internet arrangement they dropped what they were doing and put togeteher one just like the one from the net ,but Better. they were SUPE... read more

Received this bouquet as a birthday surprise from family who now lives out of town. While the flowers were beautiful, the arrangement could have been better. Placed in a short squat vase that didn't really support them, the color choices of orange roses, yellow lilies and red carnations, as well as the multicolor glass vase and HBD ribbons gave the overall arrangement a definite circus or clown-like vibe vs a celebration. Does the business have good flowers? Yes. What I'm writing about is the fact that they do not accept Apple Pay which is a star off. Not only do they not accept Apple Pay, but whatever payment system they use is so antiquated that they still have to swipe the card and manually enter in the buyers address. As a privacy and information security professional, this method of tender is antiquated and susceptible to "man in the middle attacks" and hacking. I ordered roses for a wedding, only 25 of the fifty were usable as they were brown and flattened. I kept emailing and calling back and forth with staff but couldn't reach the manager. They offered me no refund. the situation caused a lot of stress on the day of the wedding, and the issue was not resolved to my satisfaction.
