My husband and I brought two friends visiting from England over and we all loved our visit. The service was fantastic, and our friends kept wishing there could be a Ted's in their town. You have to try the sausage - it's fantastic!
I typically go to Ted's for lunch or dinner after work, but there was a group of 13 of us who went the other night and it was great even for such a large party. I decided on Ted's because we had a wide range of tastes in our group, including some rather picky eaters. I was able to make reservations, and our server was attentive and got everything right. The food was the best part, although the selection was limited. I had the country-fried steak & it was one of the best I've ever had. Brussels Sprouts were burnt (maybe on purpose but it didn't work) but paired with bleu cheese for an interesting vegetable. The coleslaw was good. The experience was okay. I used to visit frequently. However, my friend and I made a reservation at 10 am and was told around 11:30 am that we had been there for over two hours. It was extremely annoying and made me feel not welcomed. I understand others have reservation. However, be honest.
I am a fashion industry professional based in New York City who decided to spend the week of Thanksgiving by myself and indulge in my 1st solo Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving Eve, I had an Open Table reservation for 1. I ordered the Pumpkin Ravioli with Chicken (added on) along with a Jalapeno Pineapple Margarita. The restaurant was full of small flies - very annoying. So as we ate, we had to swing off and swat the flies. This place must have a serious flies infestation. We went to this restaurant because the one in NOMA had no openings for noon lunch.
Shrimp was badly over cooked in shrimp tacos. The spice level on chicken and waffles was overpowering. Refills on iced tea were not offered. Overall, the meal was a big disappointment.
Service was slow and indifferent. Once it arrived the food was fine. We would have ordered dessert but didn’t want to suffer through another long wait
No air conditioning. Miserable heat and did not have fans in the dining area
