My experience at the 14th Street location was amazing, just as I expected it would be. I can't wait for the Merrifield location to open near my home so I can go every day. The fish in my husbands seafood platter was a little soggy. I think that could be fixed by adjusting the length of time the fish gets dipped into the deep fryer. Other than that, our meal was delicious. I highly recommend the grilled cheese and tomato basil soup as well as the hush puppies in the seafood platter. Those hush puppies were out of this world.
Ted's Bulletin is expanding, and deservedly so. The cocktails, food, and desserts are all fantastic, with friendly low-key service. I found myself thinking about the meal with longing the next day. Definitely will go back.
Each in our party was happy with their meal: spaghetti & meatballs (the special), the chicken/shrimp kabobs, a biscuit/eggs/apple sauce (the chunky apple sauce would have been better served warm), and a large salad. One star off on the food, though, because a glass of wine here is a bit short on the wine part. And while the service was friendly, a star off because it seemed a while before we ordered and we were only offered drink refills at the end of our meal. Great decor, but expect noisy.
This was the first time at this location and the food was just as good as the original location. It was surprisingly empty for a Saturday morning, but that was great for us! I'm sure overtime this location will be just as packed on the weekends.
I absolutely love Ted's . It's kind of like comfort food your Grandma would make taken up a few notches. You also can't leave without trying one of their fantastic milk shakes (bonus points to ask them to blend a donut in there with it) and one of their homemade pop tarts. In the summer time you can't beat getting them to make a pop tart iced cream sandwich. This place rocks and their specials are always solid so I will keep on going back as long as I live around here.
waitress seemed very confident - - but kept forgetting the small things that some of our diners specifically asked for. it was lunch on a Monday so not very busy. need to pay attention to the customer! like the concept and shake was yummy.
My husband and I were looking for somewhere special to have an early Valentine's Day meal (he works on the 14th). We wanted somewhere with great food, yet had something that made it different than just a simple burger and fries. We lucked into a reservation and had a mouth watering, flavorful, and filling meal. Our dessert, the Blueberry Cheesecake Poptart, seemed like it was fresh out of the oven. There is nothing ordinary about Ted's - it is a meal experience and a signature dining locations mixed into one.
This was my first time to Ted's Bulletin at this location. There was plenty of room that afternoon (reservation at 4 p.m.), and it was not as crowded as I had initially expected (perhaps word still needs to get out)! In my party of four, it was one of my friend's birthday. Sneaking away from the table I collaborated with the helpful gentleman behind the bakery counter. He created a "donut tower" (four different donuts stacked together), and it was later presented to my friend with a birthday candle on top. It was glorious! I... read more
I highly recommend the homemade bacon & peanut butter pop tarts. Out of curiosity two of us decided to try. ' And, it did not disappoint!
