Many thanks to Wes Cohen and the folks at Texas Lending. I was talking to a few other of the “brand name” people online and none of them told me that my existing mortgage had been mis-coded. (I had previously done a home equity loan). Long story short, Wes got it straightened out and we managed to get a loan with acceptable terms. Wes will stay with you through the process, by the way.
