The person who answered the phone at The AC Guy of Tampa Bay got me a service appointment that same afternoon, and the technician arrived quickly and got the job done. I was very pleased with all that. The only issue I have is with the price. It's not like I have a choice when the A/C goes out on a 96° / 99% humidity day, so I agreed to the charge. But $359 for a simple drain cleaning (it took less than an hour), on top of the $95 service call charge, seems like way too much.

I have been given lip service and put off. Why am I being charged in full upfront long before repair will be done. Which I refuse to do. Deposit is fine but not what's being asked. Didn't explain why repair couldn't be done on spot. Why haven't I received response on my warranty. This company delay is costing me $400 every two months for freon from a leak that should be under warranty.

SOOO disappointed at this company!! They advertise on a Christian Radio station, but their business model is unethical. Their technicians are commission based and will try to upsell you every time! They lie and are deceiving with their VIP service as well. When you first call them they are very friendly, but don't get fooled, once something goes wrong they have horrible customer service and will not do the right thing for you! I think there was some price gouging . It cost $700 to drain the air conditioner. It was a one man 1/2 hour job.. Even thought it was a holiday & I expected the price to be elevated $700 is more than I expected to pay.
Steve was excellent! He found things such as the fact that there was no surge protector, that was not included when we purchased, at an exorbitant cost, our high efficiency heat pump. He also found that the 3 new vents that they convinced us needed to be installed, did not include the necessary replacement filters. My feedback has changed as a result of my recent experience. I initially gave them a 5-star rating. Our impression has changed.
