We’ve been here twice, drove an hour each way. Both times, they have been unprofessional and insensitive to pet parent and pet needs. They do not look at pet history before pet parent phone interview and physical assessment. Was charged twice for one visit, took the manager 1 week to return my call and then processed the refund. Also, they dont allow ANY PARENT INSIDE (they dont tell you this until you show up), claiming its COVID precautions but we ALL are dealing with this; they just dont want to clean extra. Pet parents n... read more

Extremely costly, doesn’t stick to the plan of diagnostics/treatment(they change it and then say you never agreed to it), and immediately offers to put your animal down if you can’t afford to pay an arm and three legs for their services. Then, they fire you as a client if you question/challenge what they’ve told you. Will NEVER recommend them.

Center for Bird and Exotic Medicine (CBEAM) consistently offer $$$$$$ tests that are unnecessary. If you have to go in after hours they’ll tell you how stressed they are and details about other clients - two times ago the vet got on the phone with me and started off with “sorry I just had to put down another animal,” the last time they told me all about the other animals in respiratory distress or the bird that ate an avocado. Not very reassuring to hear details about other clients. They didn’t give me a bill and it looks l... read more

UPDATE: The clinic got back to me the same day as this post and gave complete resolution to this situation. It was handled with professionalism, understanding, a desire to keep our business, and a willingness to figure out the cracks in our timeline that led to this perfect storm. The staff was very pleasant to talk to, not defensive, very considerate and very respectful. The conversation was easy and the issue has been resolved! We look forward to continuing business and looking forward to a smoother relationship going forw... read more

In February 2020 my lop eared bunny went into stasis. I rushed him here as they have after hours emergency vet services and it was a Sunday when my vet wasn't open. They ran blood tests and did x-rays. When the results of the tests came in they told me that my rabbit had liver disease or pancreatitis or liver failure. Some of the text results were unreadable and had to be redone. I was in communication for months regarding his redone test results and recommendations for care. I was the primary one in communication. I called... read more

Tl;dr: I was banned from ever bringing my rabbits back to CBEAM, even for life and death emergencies, because I questioned a bill where I was given a different price for a service than I was charged. I hesitated about whether to post anything at all about my experience, but I wanted to warn other bunny parents. I have been taking my rabbits to CBEAM since 2019 as a last resort for after hours emergencies and for their yearly RHD vaccinations. Every time I went there, I paid their exorbitant bills without complaint. When I ... read more

I feel I was treated unfairly when I was sent a letter stating I am no longer allowed to be a client there due to alleged things that I said or demanded to see the Dr when my rabbit was there for hours untreated with maloclusion and couldn't eat. rabbits die if they cannot eat! and that I did not "trust" the doctors, not sure where that came from. this after 4 years of bringing many rabbits and several thousand dollars spent there. Not even a discussion with me nor warning just dropped. told I couldn't even bring an animal ... read more

“Hey guys, how’s it going?! You’re here to drop off sterling, right??” *hands over box with dead bird* “Ok have a great night!” Learn to read the room a bit.

I appreciate the knowledgeable veterinarians but the front desk staff is inconsistent, seems to be always training new staff, and not timely in returning phone calls or sending requested records/ information.
