The food was horrible, they had it done in the back and it was cold and poorly prepared, felt a bit rushed.
Chateau Norwood is a favorite of ours.. most often a good meal, prepared well but not this time.. We went in for the Wed pizza special, worst pizza ever had and we are in our 80's...The pie was underdone, almost pure white, barely warm, sauce without taste, cheese unbrowned , like eating play dough...Waitress was sympathetic, offered to replace but nothing worse than sending food back and waiting for replacement...Mgr took 20% off of our food bill.....We'll go back but never Pizza at Chateau.
Would I recommend the chateau well yes and no. We come from rhode island over 1hr and 30 mins away. Every year for our anniversary we get a room at the hotel next to the chateau just for the food and a good time. This year I used the app to reserve a table for 6:15 on 2/23/19. We got there 10 mins early. We still had to wait 35-40 minutes for a seat even though I made reservations 2 weeks ahead. We finally got seated by a nice young lady next to a very very loud table of 17 people! Then our very very rude waitress asked if w... read more
Food cold
We ordered one of the Italian trio’s. The fried ravioli where cold. The chicken Parmesan portion was small. And there was a child’s portion of fettuccine Alfredo. I will not be dining there anytime in the near future. And I will definitely not recommend it to any friends or family
I hadn’t been here in years. It was evident from our recent visit that it has gone downhill. We both got the Chicken Piccata and it was inedible. Tasted like they used for starch as a thickening agent for the sauce. It tasted like kindergarten paste. I was very disappointed and won’t be going back there.
Frozen raviolis, boxed mash potatoes and cold bread..a disgrace for Italian restaurant! Rhode island calamari soggy not spicy but sour from all the pickles! Took quite a lot of time to bring food out which was frozen and boxed and had to ask for bread to be served which was cold..DO NOT GO FOR SPECIAL EVENTS! Especially paying that amount for boxed and frozen food
Our waitress was absolutely horrible. She would walk away from us before everyone giving an answer if we wanted another drink or anything else. She never once asked us how anything was. Instead, she seemed more annoyed at everything.
Even though we went there, instead of checking us in they cancelled the reservation. The food came out cold and over cooked.
