About The Chef My name is Paul Friedman and I like to think of myself as just an ordinary guy who has had a lifetime love affair with food and the fortune of having owned and operated 58 restaurants in South Africa, Europe and the United States. Our server Julio was fabulous. The hostess checked on us multiple times. Food is always fabulous! Sticky toffee pudding is a must try. Our favorite dessert is still the passionfruit creme brulee.

This place is a culinary wonder. We visited on a Friday evening for dinner and had a 16oz. ribeye steak and a Culinary Journey. The chef, founder of Peli Peli, shows off his favor for African influences while taking you on a global journey… We had, in addition to the drinks from the Culinary Journey, Smoked Rosemary Rita’s and a Mojito. We dined as a family and it was one of the best dinning experiences in Houston. I would totally recommend it, and as our waiter Daniel - Top Notch. I would say your experience will be enhanced if you are lucky enough to have him serve you. Be sure to try the Octopus starter which is served with fried cubed potatoes
