About The Chef My name is Paul Friedman and I like to think of myself as just an ordinary guy who has had a lifetime love affair with food and the fortune of having owned and operated 58 restaurants in South Africa, Europe and the United States. This is an exceptionally good restaurant. It took me a long time to go, because I don't like the font. I have driven by it many times and the cursive writing made me think it wouldn't be good. Anyway, walking inside I was immediately surprised by the care and attention put into the decor and service. The food was spectacular. Not one bad bite. It is not pretentious and yet the quality and attention to detail are on par with the best restaurants in the country. Will definitely go again.

I have visited this place several times and I can say I have never been disappointed. The food is great and not expensive at all. The staff is very friendly and the owner is very friendly as well. I will recommend it to everyone that is looking for a good meal and relax atmosphere.

We were only in Houston for one day since moving to Florida so we wanted a unique dining experience. We had find memories of Peli Peli and Chef Paul (and the backstory he shared with us on why he became a chef when we last dined here) so it was a no brainer for us! The food was as amazing as we remembered, the wait staff was great as well. The sticky toffee pudding was icing on the evening! My wife and I highly recommend The Chef's Table for your next culinary experience, you won't be disappointed!
