My boyfriend took me here on a date night. I knew the restaurant had previously been Peli Peli but neither of us knew the new concept was also Chef Paul Friedman and that many of the dishes were South African inspired. My boyfriend who is also South African was delighted with many of the options. Beverages? Highly recommend the lemon drop martini, passion fruit martini, The Spicy Gringo… oh but the DARK & STORMY! Whoo!! Make sure you arrive early - it’s a happy hour special. The food was PHENOMENAL! Starters included the lobster mac & cheese, Brussel sprouts, Peri Peri calamari, riblets, & stuffed mushrooms. Delish! EVERYTHING!! I went with a group of friends and this place blew my mind ! ! The menu was exotic. The flavor of the food excellent ! And the atmosphere and wait staff was so personable. The chef came out and introduced himself. I will definitely return!
