The restaurant was amazing, the staff was very friendly & the ambience was inviting. I was a big fan of Peli Peli and strolled through Vintage Park for a mother and daughter brunch at this place....perfect pick! The wings as appetizer,, entrees (Surf & Turf and Schnitzel & Waffles and watermelon infused water absolutely delicious!!! Edit to add : Galina was our server and she was perfect and genuine and wonderful and was the sparkle to our wonderful evening! My husband and I visited The Chef's Table 12/8/21 for a 7pm reservation for our 4th Wedding Anniversary. I have found my death row meal. If I die tomorrow I'll die with THE MOST DECADENT, SUCCULENT, FLAVORFUL, MINDBLOWINGLY DELICIOUS food in my body. Chef Paul and his team are back at it again! The restaurant is new and well decorated in a 50's theme. The menu has a lot of variety and the service is great. There is still a strong South African influence in many of the dishes, but there is now a little fusion built in which is awesome! Highly recommend a visit. We used to love Peli Peli back in the beginning and felt it had lost its appeal over the years. Happy to say it was much like the original. The decor is much more sophisticated now. Both food and service were fantastic!

the entire experience was great. the meals are unique and full of flavor.
We came for Sunday brunch, Galina was our server, she was amazing, her recommendations did not disappoint. Chef Paul Friedman was so hospitable, came around and spoke to us for a bit too. The food to say the least was delicious, the overall experience was beyond expectations. This was our first time in Houston and because of this experience, I don’t want it to be the last.

From the moment you walk in you are greeted by a warm and friendly staff member. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. You could see Chef Paul there most of the time. His passion for unique dishes is amazing. They have an extensive menu and everything we have tried is outstanding. You are in for quite a treat. The Gumbo, Vlees Pastei, Crown Salad, Beef Pendurada,Down to the Gulf, and Sticky Toffee pudding are my personal favorites. We try to go pretty often. Enjoy!!
