Very average The tacky decor of the bedroom, the whole hotel is tired, the breakfast is of the level of an average Midwest diner (not the grand hotel it is supposed to be). The Golden room advertised everywhere can’t be visited by guests. The bar atmosphere is like a very cheap cafeteria, don’t go there for cocktails. Nice location opposite the park and part of the magnificent mile

Not happy about being charged twice. They charged me twice .Once before stay and again afterwards. 529.98 times 2 !! Can't get in touch with anyone to correct this problem. Not a happy customer & will not recommend. The view was beautiful.
Old, smelly, and falling apart- very bad experience. The rooms and carpeting in the hallways are incredibly old, smells of mould and looks like it's falling apart. It has the location working for it but there is no maintenance- our toilet wasn't working and we had to remove the top lid so my husband could get it to work. It was also clear that we were not the first to encounter this issue and yet nothing has been fixed. Very Poor Everything was dated, smelly, and not working. The shower leaked onto the floor because the drain was clogged. The mini-fridge worked like a freezer and quite literally froze all of our food. The days were extremely humid but we felt we couldn't get a break inside because everything was dirty and smelled of mould. The location was great to tour Chicago. The wifi connection was also strong.
Weird experience. Very old hotel, not very clean or nice but very conveniently located. I wouldn’t return there. Very old facilities, everything was aging and not very clean. We found the shower filled with water and the shower had rust in it. the baby crib was super rusty and old too.. not sure when the carpet was last cleaned. Good location! And the bed was surprisingly comfortable given how old all the furniture was
