An old hotel, well located but with basic facilities and in need of refurbishment The hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment. The rooms are clean but basic. Staff were helpful but not that interested. The best thing about this hotel is the location, right on Grant Park and an easy walk anywhere
Would not return, felt the cost was too high for the conditions. The place needs an update. The first room we were given smelt very musty, and the toilet did not flush. The staff offered to fix it but I asked for a new room. Tge new room was fine, shabby but fine. The drain in the bathtub was clogged and drained very slowly. The location was perfect, the historic building was amazing, but poor maintenance has made the beautiful hotel appear unloved and uncared for. Convenient but look for better value for money. The security staff at night - aggressive and rude. We hadn’t even realized he was supposed to be security as he looked disheveled and unclean, initially we thought he was a panhandler waiting in the doorway and had tried to skirt around him, not understanding what he had said to us as he only growled out words. Einmal reicht Wir haben zuerst das Zimmer die wir gebucht haben mit Stadt Blick nicht bekommen. Erst nach der Intervention. Personal mittelmäßig freundlich. Die Lage war TOP !
Great location for central Chicago and the sights but hotel needs a refurb! Hotel is tired and needs some TLC and a good clean Parking was extremely expensive at $62 a night We parked elsewhere for a lot cheaper and a short walk Location is great

Was fine if you just need a bed in a central location for several nights Old hotel that Its 2023 and you don’t take ApplePay? And then have an attitude about it? The front desk staff were often clueless and could have used some customer service training. The room was extremely uncomfortable given you couldn’t get to one side of the bed because the bed was placed inches from an antiquated cooling unit under the window. Poor lighting, really old tv, not conducive to doing any work in the room since no desk or decent furniture.... read more
