I don't know about the the other rooms, but the South Tower, needs a major renovation. Room was outdated, chipped paint, a bed with neon lights in the headboard, no ironing board in the room and only 5 hangers in the closet with no luggage rack. One of my bath towels had visible stains. Location was excellent, very close to the lake front and directly on Michigan Ave.
Bad I really didnt like the property at all ...my room very cold and no heat Option and the shower in the bathroom didnt not work ...and food service take forever to come....the Security at the main entrance was very rude and i didn’t like the crown around the main entrance Front desk was very Polite and Professional and very understandable
Nice but could be better The hotel does look old (especially sketchy hallway). Nice service. Looks antique in a positive perspective BIG room. Great location and you can find it easily. Great lake view. And no difficulties or issues afterall.

I work there for VA clinic I did not like. The issues that I’m going to mention caused I couldn’t stay longer. It was a lot of noise until 1:00 am. The room was freezing even though I turned off the air conditioner. First night the lady at front desk was not friendly. But the second day the lady was so kind and changed my room when she heard how I was uncomfortable and freezing there. Thanks her; nice & kind young lady with long hair; probably Spanish. Haunted Plz don’t never stay at this hotel it is really haunted I went through it when I just stayed here Nothing
Bad When you first enter the facility, security approaches you. We had just arrived and was 30 minutes early for check in. Security told us we could not proceed that we had to wait. So we came back 30 minutes later. Approached the counter and before we received a hello, the other agent at the desk yelled “There is no smoking.” None of us smoke or had anything on us that would indicate such. My opinion of the Congress Hotel I love the view in my room at Buckingham fountain in the lake that was about the best thing about the room other than that it was very dingy and outdated I was very surprised that’s my opinion.
