My mother came to Cotswold House in 2010. She received excellent and sensitive care having been recently widowed. She thrived in this new and wonderful environment until 2015 when she became less able, her mobility and sight was deteriorating and was needing extra nursing care. The Cotswold Home is a wonderful home for someone to stay at the end of their life. The décor, cleanliness, food and facilities are excellent. All the staff are welcoming, caring, approachable and very caring. Visitors are made most welcome and can visit any time and for as long as they want. Information is readily available and there is always someone to talk to. There are no negative aspects to this home and I'm so pleased that my mother was able to spend her last weeks there.

My mother received extremely good care throughout her stay from skilful and cheerful staff. In her last days she was treated with compassion and dignity and we were supported every step of the way.

Until last autumn my mother was self-sufficient, driving herself to the shops and caring for herself in a close care apartment. When her cancer spread, however, her general health went downhill very fast. I was so grateful to the Cotswold for finding her a room within a week of her requesting one. In her 2 months there, up to and including her death, she was cared for with sensitivity, respect and compassion. My mother initially went into The Cotswold Home for 2 weeks respite care. After 3 days she stated that she did not want to go home as she was very comfortable and the care was excellent. Mother spent the next 7 and a half years in the home during which time she celebrated her 100th birthday. I would not hesitate to recommend The Cotswold Home to anyone.

The Cotswold staff are exceptional. Patient, supportive, understanding and positive. One of their biggest assets is they give you time, and detail. They care! Within 10 days my father is out of his bed for the first time in 3 years. He has experienced a proper bath and also opens his eyes more. I trust the staff and home. Wish my dad could have been there sooner. Thank you for giving him his life back!

My week was an experience as expected. What I didn't know was just how small and hard the bed was, it was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. This was my reason for not wishing to take up a permanent residency.

My frail 90-year-old father's needs were not met by the home during his residence, e.g. no accessible drinks, often not shaved, not had creams properly applied. He is blind, deaf, diabetic and suffers other ailments, but is a gentle, quiet-spoken man who never raises his voice. The home failed to keep his evening routine and when he became disoriented and distressed, they sent him to hospital instead of putting him to bed.
