After three years of living alone and after two broken ankles and two broken hips, my mother decided she would like to be cared for in a home. We looked at nine possible homes, but The Cotswold Home was by far the best. The home is purpose-built with a lovely, light, airy feel. It is always spotlessly clean. From reception to any staff you meet in the home, they always say hello. After a knee operation, I have had extremely good care here from all the staff who are very friendly and cheerful. The physiotherapy has been fantastic and has put me on the right road to recovery. I have looked forward to my meals, especially lunch and considering the catering is for so many people daily, it is of a very high standard. The ambiance in the home is warm and welcoming and I would recommend it most certainly to making a good convalescence.

My mother arrived a day earlier than planned after a fall and spent four weeks during the hottest month on record. The Cotswold Home was cool and calm, the staff were excellent, calming my mother and me down. They adapted her room with a suitable chair and other facilities very rapidly as, after her fall, she needed nursing care that we hadn't expected. This is the second time I have needed emergency help for my mother and it was provided with no fuss again. It's reassuring to know that such help is available.

A very dear and close family friend I called aunty for almost 60 years, was placed in the Cotswold home for end of life care. This is a difficult time for any family, both she and her family were well supported and their wishes were considered in an understanding and caring way with all decisions. Overall, the experience at The Cotswold Home has been very positive for my 96-year-old mother who came for respite care after covid and after having had a fall. The facilities are first class; everywhere is spotless and the gardens are beautiful. The atmosphere is light, spacious and industrious. The main members of staff (the nurses, the physio, the people on reception) have been wonderful; some night carers have, however, caused low level distress!

After a series of falls, my mother spent two months at The Cotswold Home. From the very beginning, the staff have been outstanding; nothing is too much trouble. Mum was assessed by staff members whilst she was still in the local hospital, they made the round trip of several hours to ensure that when Mum arrived the care she received would be tailored to her needs. The Cotswold Home have provided my mother with wonderful care for the last few months, ensuring she is comfortable and safe as she transitioned from independence to being cared for. She is now engaged in a wide range of social activities, is eating well and is very happy. She clearly has a great relationship with the staff, who know her needs and preferences. Her medical and physical care is exemplary.

From the moment I went to teh home to check its suitability, I knew that it was going to meet all the needs required to look after my mother-in-law. The professionalism of the staff is amazing, from the receptionist staff to carers, nurses and management. I had full confidence that my loved one's needs here were met 100%, which gave me peace of mind during the short time my mother-in-law was a resident.
