Best gym around. Don't waste your time anywhere else! The trainers are great, the people are great, and the strong classes are out of this world. Their Edge Challenge Program is fantastic if your looking for a weight loss program. Great place for anyone to go if your young or old, a beginner or pro.

I had been at another gym and wasn't happy there. I have been a client at The Edge Fitness since March 1, 2015. I have the greatest trainer Ashley who has made working out more fun than work. I started working out independently and found that boring. I now take the Strong X classes 6 days a week and love them. I find all the trainers are well informed and helpful.

I'm personally sad that I ever left the Edge (unfortunately I moved a little far for some of their locations). I went mainly to the Stratford and Milford ones, and at the time (not sure if it is still the policy) it was great to go in either location depending on their schedule and mine. My favorite part was the classes--great ones that are free and some even better ones (TRX) for additional cost. Always found it to be resonably priced though. A 3 star due to the fact that Zumba instructor are changed too often. I am into zumba and that was the main reason I join. But StratfordEdge instuctors either the are not liked or the good ones leaves. Very discouraged about this already. Need to hired a zumba instructor that we know would be at the gym period and not one week one next week another. UFFFF
They recently remodeled and the place looks great. For awhile the gym was getting rundown looking and some of the staff were not so nice. All of that has changed and I see improvements every week. I'm so glad I stayed a member and didn't jump on the 'new gym' bandwagon.
Contrary to Randall's experience, I've had nothing but smooth sailing with The Edge. I went in on a Sunday afternoon asking for information and was so impressed I ended up joining that day. I never felt any pressure to sign up, but The Edge had exactly what I was looking for.The girl who helped me was really nice and able to answer all of my questions. Horrible customer service when you have a billing problem -- they farm out there billing to people in the Philippines -- you can't cancel your membership -- they don't answer emails or they have you call the Philippines for customer service The gym is always packed and people just sit on there phones between sets -- all the equipment is old -- they bring in a new piece of equipment every 6 months -- there's no parking ---

I signed up for a membership at Edge Fitness (Stratford, CT) in April 2025. At the time of signup, I was not told it was a fixed 12-month contract -- I was led to believe I could cancel at any time. When I attempted to cancel a few months later, I was denied and told I could only cancel for medical or relocation reasons. This was never disclosed to me during signup, nor was I shown the full contract in advance. When I raised this issue, I was met with boilerplate responses and no resolution. Deceitful business practices. save yourself an headache. abide by their 30 day cancellation rules. do it exactly how on the exact date the sales person tells you. Then charge you a day earlier, steal your money and refuse to refund you stating it's not their policy to refund their customers. Not worth the aggravation
