Great experience as well. Best Cajun food outside of Louisiana, and gives a lot of Cajun food inside Louisiana a run for their money. Best staff and friendliest service in Nashville by far. 5 stars.
We were promptly seated. Waiter was knowledgeable and and attentive. We came to try the gumbo but it has pork so we ended up ordering two catfish baskets and the golf shrimp appetizer. We also ordered the purple frozen drink they said was good and root beer. The purple drink had very little liquor in it and wasn’t tasty at all. Root beef was ok. The fried golf shrimp was very good. Food was great! The Nashville hot gator was the best fried gator I’ve ate. Seafood gumbo was very good and so was the catfish poboy. Staff was great as well!
Best gumbo I’ve had outside of LA. The catfish and beef po-boys were both delicious. The Leidenheimer bread is worth trip.
Alligator bites were good but the gumbo was just okay. I had the seafood gumbo - I couldn't taste crab at all, and the shrimp were overcooked and hard. I like my own seafood gumbo better, however my friend never had any before and really enjoyed it.
Absolutely love this place! I grew up in Mobile, AL and this seafood is the freshest and most authentic I’ve been able to get outside of my hometown. Gumbo is fresh and full of seafood. Shrimp is perfectly seasoned and cooked. One of our favorite places! Tastes like home!
Great seafood in Nashville is hard to find, but this place is definitely the exception. Excellent seafood! Wonderful service. Will definitely be back.
The gumbo was tasty, menu was not overly exciting, but great for a quick meal. Not an exciting ambience, but perfectly fine for a quick mea.
