We take a lot of pride in satisfying all of our guests. The Oar offers beautiful scenery and provides a fun entertaining atmosphere. Staff was helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Atmosphere was relaxed, plan to come back when the outside deck is open. Seafood dishes were cooked to perfection.
the food was "luke warm",coffee excellent,service attentive,the "Singer" marvelous with songs of the 40's and 50's ala Sinatra/Matt Monroe.Plan to return and urge food to be served hot.
In my open table reservation I said it was a special occassion and the oar made it special sending over a dessert. They took the time to make us feel special. The service was great and so was the food. A++ experience.
It's a definite gem tucked away in Patchogue...you won't be sorry that you found your way there!

The Oar has become one of our favorite dining spots. This was our fourth visit to The Oar, and this time we brought friends. As before, we were impressed with the polite, friendly personnel. Sitting on the Patchogue River, The Oar provides great views, whether inside looking through the wall of French doors or outside on one of several deck areas. Great lobster and at a good price. Hot spot and great scenic view. Great to go with a group.
Six of us had a lovely evening, sitting on the outside deck, enjoying the beautiful night and the view. Food, service and setting were excellent! Definitely worth going to again.
