My husband has advanced Parkinson's disease and has lived in this care home since 2013. The building itself - a converted Edwardian house with extensions - is very pleasant as are décor, furnishings, etc. The place is small enough to foster friendly relations between residents and their families and staff. My mother has lived at Gracewell of Hove for over four years. She has Alzheimer's disease. She is very well looked after. All aspects of her care are thorough and professional and she is treated with dignity and gentleness. She is encouraged to join in with social activities and to talk with others. My mother has been extremely ill over the last year and without the exemplary care and dedication of the team at Gracewell of Hove we would have lost her. The home is more like a hotel, with lovely public areas and mum's room overlooks a busy park which keeps her entertained. We enjoy visiting and are always made very welcome even if it has been a while (I live 250 miles away) with free drinks and meals available if ordered in advance. A very friendly and homely feel to the home. Plenty of staff on-site all of whom are helpful and professional. A very clean environment. The menu choices are varied and the food is excellent. Residents are treated with respect and no matter when we visit them are always pleasant and efficient. A great plug is the fact there are always plenty of activities for residents.

My Mother moved to Gracewell of Hove after her husband (my Dad) died in December 2015. From the first day, she was made to feel welcome at home and treated with such dignity that I felt humbled. The room, food, and care given was excellent. My Mum died on 6/10/16 in the early hours of the morning. I didn't make it to her in time which I will feel guilty about forever, but your staff were there and helped her. Thank you!
My father passed away in hospital on 2nd August 2016 before this he was a resident in Gracewell of Hove for 10 years. He had communication difficulties as he was profoundly deaf but he was happy and was well supported by staff there.
