Can care less about problems they cause and cannot return call or emails

Incompetent staff, and policies designed to scam money out of unsuspecting, innocent university students. Go rent somewhere with more company ethics. Be warned in particular about Elizabeth Wright, the secretary, who threatened to charge me because she didn't like the tone of my e-mail. Horribly managed company, run by people with poor credentials, and was clearly handed down to sons of the original Preiss who operate with no regard to morals.

-lived with mold covering the walls and ceilings for 2 months. They didn’t do anything until I bought a test kit to prove it was mold and not mildew -does not enforce lease agreement with neighbors who constantly leave their dog poop in our yard AND give us a hard time about sending a service to pick it up -initially refused to replace stove elements and claimed it wasn’t an emergency even though we called 911 during which the firefighters stated that the element melted and all four needed replacement -the list honestly goes... read more

The Preiss Company is a horrible company. I have lived in University Village Clemson for the last year and have had nothing but complaints since day 1. They have lied to my face and fail to ever communicate any information. At one point, they had moved in an unstable and dangerous roommate into my apartment, which scared my one roommate so much that she decided to abandon her apartment. Stop towing cars when the number of cars parking their is less than 25% of full capacity!

This company is by far the worst corporation I have dealt with in my entire life. They acquired the property I was living at and it has been a nightmare since. I have been trying to sublet my apartment since I am moving to another city for a job. My lease clearly states that I can sublet. I called them everyday for a week and left many voicemails and no one ever got back to me. I finally drove over there and they refused to draw up the paperwork for a sublet. Management leaves a lot to be desired. There’s very little to no communication and customer service has been non existent in my experience. A home is a sacred place- a refuge for residents and that’s something Preiss fails to understand or respect. I’m just a few months into my lease and love our home- it’s everything I could want but my experience in dealing with the management company has left me hating my home and the entire experience of living in a Preiss managed property. We have had the worst experience with placing our college student in one of these complexes...they are perfect if you have a one that parties..but for a serious studious kid...never EVER place them here, ever!!! Several complaints about noise after 10pm on a week night with no resolve. DO NOT place a serious student at The Boundary!
