Located in Northern California’s Mendocino County there is a skunk running through the redwood forest, but this isn’t any skunk, it’s the world famous Skunk Train. The California redwoods, pristine coastline, and award winning vineyards are all a part of the landscape of what makes Mendocino County such an amazing place and home to this 131-year-old train.

Great little hour-long ride, dogs are allowed which was awesome because otherwise we couldn’t have gone. The scenery was beautiful and the staff were friendly.
My son is obsessed with trains. For his 5th birthday we took him on the skunk train. It was such a fun experience for all of us! I would highly recommend taking your crew on an adventure too!
This is a great rail bike experience for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter, her friend and my husband enjoyed the bikes plus seeing the redwoods and scenery. We would definitely recommend to all.
Super fun ride, very friendly staff and an amazing (and rare) piece of California history! The Skunk Train is a time capsule!
Years ago my husband and I road the train 🚂 on a beautiful day with friends and had a wonderful time.
We had an awesome time on the trip to Pudding Creek. Absolutely loved the fact that we were able to take our fur baby on the trip with us. The staff made it a wonderful experience for us!!!
Best day ever! We rode the railbikes! It was my husband’s and I birthday and it couldn’t of been more perfect! Our guides Johnny and Brendon were amazing! They made it so fun and interactive! The weather was perfect! The hike during the stop was the cherry on top! We will definitely be back! Such a great experience!
Had a wonderful Birthday trip on the rail bikes. Relaxing and fun with electric boosters so no worry about athletic ability:) We were able to hike around at the collapsed tunnel site as well. Really great day out!
Did the rail bikes with Brandon and Johnny, both were very helpful and informative. These bikes are very easy to pedal with electric assist. The hike at the end of the line is a little steep so if your not in shape or have physical issues it’s best to stay at the rail stop picnic area and wait it out.
