This place is a JOKE. i would not recommend them to ANYONE. A place that issues a letter with mandatory evacuation and only gives you until 12/31 to rebook is a rip off. MOST PEOPLE work for a living and plan a vacation when THEY can go not when the rental company decides. This place offers NO REFUNDS FOR MANDATORY HURRICANE EVACUATION. INSURANCE IS NO GOOD UNLESS YOU CANCEL BEFORE THE TRIP ... IT PROTECTS ONLY THEM THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU. Read the fine print. 99% of any other rental would give a REFUND IN HOPES YOU... read more

Good Morning Patty, During an evacuation, we do our best to help renters who have not purchased travel insurance. We offer the ability to move their stay dates, which is outside of the parameters of our cancellation policy in our rental agreement. Any travel insurance purchased is subject to the terms and conditions of the travel insurance agency; that agreement is between the renter and the agency. Evacuated from Hilton Head due to Hurricane Dorian. Was just informed they do not issue refunds. Only option if you didn’t buy insurance is to come again before the end of the year. It’s apparently in the “fine print”. I’ve never in my life not been refunded when a natural disaster causes an issue. Never. Bad business.
RecommendedWe stayed at 412 Captains Watch. The Vacation Company was easy to deal with and communicated great. The complex was also fine. The unit however really needs some work. All 3 bathrooms are dated and need upgrading. The 2nd king bedroom especially. It was hard to pull the tub handle to get the water to come on and the shower curtain hooks are rusty, and there is either dirt or mold on the shower curtain. The ceiling is peeling on the edge. Customer service not great. Had a problem and Susan was not accommodating with assisting us. She was condescending rather then helpful. Not what you would expect.
Arrived today at our rental to 3 of the 5 outside doors blocked off with boards and signs alerting us that the decks were dangerous and we could not use them. We can’t open the doors or access any of the three outside deck areas. The property looks condemned from the outside. RecommendedWe rented Villamare 1101 at Hilton Head Island for Fall Break this past week. The condo was absolutely beautiful! I picked this condo because we had our 85 year old grandmother with us & she could sit out on the deck & watch us at the pool & also had a wonderful view of the ocean! The app was a very helpful feature! We will definitely use the Vacation Company again!
RecommendedQuick responses to book, easy app to use for access and info. Other than being asked if I brought a Dog when I didn’t (it was my 20 month old that found all of their dog toys already at the house) - it was great! Lol.
