Our tour of The Village of the Heights went very well, it's definitely our top choice for when my mother is ready. She loves the neighborhood it is in, and she has friends who currently live in this community and really like it.

I recently moved my mother in, in the midst of a very stressful life-changing event. From the moment she moved in I have been so pleased with the level of care they provide. They truly embrace not only the residents but their families. The level of professionalism they exude alongside their loving, compassionate personalities has certainly exceeded my expectations. Mom enjoys participating in the exercise class and occasionally goes to bible study. The staff are excellent. The only issue I have with this community is that the food does not taste good it is served late, there is not a good variety and you cannot cut or eat the meat.

The staff and I have a general respect for each other. I like that my friend is getting out and going places. They have a monthly calendar of daily events. They keep the community clean.

Will be beautiful facility once completed. Really liked the common living areas on each floor. Décor was lovely.
We moved out after 3 months. They say they are dog friendly but many of the staff are deathly afraid of dogs and won't enter a resident's room if there is a dog in there. This includes housekeeping and some med techs. There is no leadership from the top. They are short staffed many times. A small percentage of the staff are great. The rest are terrible and disappear on their shifts or just sit in the break room playing with their phones. Complete and utter disappointment. We're leaving after 3 months. We would have left earlier if circumstances would have allowed. Some of the staff are very nice but staffing is short and most seem to be undertrained. We were told that pets are welcome but then learned that many of the staff are afraid of dogs and won't enter the room. This includes med techs and the housekeeper. It is an absolute waste of money.[name removed] with A Place for Mom, was very nice and tried to help. We picked this community, because [name removed] aggressively convinced me that this was the best place for my loved one. She also spoke very poorly about the other two places I was seriously considering- one of them within her same company- [removed].
