Find somewhere else I've lived here with my girlfriend and daughter for 3 and 1/2 months now. I've had to call Maintenance at least once a week about raccoon's in the ceiling and water leaking all around the apartment when it rained, including on the furnace. I have been told traps have been set and they re-shingled the roof after we had a raccoon fall through our ceiling and almost landed on our daughter in her room. Don't even consider this place! ! Horrible When I moved in on the first day there was a hole in the kitchen wall, the downstairs bathroom toilet leaked into the basement, the top of the toilet was left in the hallway closet, there was cracks in the walls in each bedroom like the walls were going cave I'm and the ceiling in the 2nd br leaked for months. Moving here was a huge mistake I noticed that most of the reviews posted were after I moved in and I am sorry that I did. These sub basement apartments have the propensity for mold and mildew. The water holder of my coffee pot smells like basement. There is trash, cigarette butts and leaves on the stairs to my apartment and that sounds like a fire hazard since the stairs are wood. Horrible. I advise anyone and everyone who is seriously considering these apartments to look elsewhere or be prepared for the worst. My apartment flooded on 3 separate occasions and I was left to clean the carpet myself. The maintenance man actually laughed when I asked if they ever planned on fixing the plumbing problems.. Good Luck The new owners New Life Properties only gives you till the 2 of the month to pay your rent. Most apartments give u until the 5th of the month.The water bill is charged along with monthly rent, could range between 40 - 50 dollars, so your rent will never be what is stated in your lease.There is a lot of ghetto hood people moving out here, black and white. Worst property management, and Maintenance I moved in to the community when it was still under the old management company, and the previous name. This rental office is full of lazy "dudes" who are never helpful, including when you have to call several times for any sort of maintenance. There is a woman, who is always eating on the phone, and is rude every single time I talk to her. Just keeps getting worse Tenant for many years and while this was a stellar community many many years ago Plaza Properties neglected it to death. I thought their upkeep and care for the tenants was pretty bad, but the new owners have managed to lower the bar even further. It takes them months to address even big issues in the complex. Worst Property Management Terrible, terrible service is the catchy headline. It was good when we first moved in about 5 years ago and has steadily gone downhill. The newest management company has only once returned a call when I left a message. and that was because it was an emergency (over 85 degrees outside and no AC). THINK BEFORE YOU SINK I lived in this apartment complex for 5 1/2 yrs., and loved it when I first moved there, then they went through two different management companies and then sold it completely to this current company. Which lead me to move all together, there are some non understanding man running this place, and the women hide in the office shuffling paper work.
