We left our apartment after 3 years. There were no damaged spot in our apartment. I’m attaching photos and videos for you to see. I don’t know where Are all of these charges came from. There was no damaged or burnt carpet they charge me $725 for carpet change after 3 years. They sent us a bill and charged us $1101.75 We have been charging over 200$ monthly for water and sewages for one bedroom apartment which I know most of my friends paying way less than that! And now we think these charges are not fair. Please have a look a... read more

I’ve lived at Billingsley properties off and on since 2011. I’ve never been so unhappy with one of their properties until the past year of living here at Thousand Oaks. The property manager Carle has proven to be less than helpful and rarely ever responds to her emails. I was charged almost $300 for carpet replacement in my previous unit that I was in for almost 2 years. The carpet was worn and rough looking upon my move in, but Carle stated that the carpet was fully replaced in May 2019 (the month before I had moved in). ... read more

The crime in this area has sky rocketed over the past year. Stabbings, stolen cars, break ins to both cars and apartments, etc. The leasing office has received numerous requests from residents asking for cameras to be placed throughout the complex and increased security. After having $20k worth of items stolen from our garage by a neighbor or maintenance staff (this was a targeted event by someone that knew what was in our garage) we received no assistance or follow up from the leasing office. When we asked about breaking ou... read more

Have been a resident for 4 years and received my lease renewal this week. They want to raise my rent $345 a month.... Just another example of a greedy landlord with zero loyalty to longtime residents. Cool place to live as long as you don't plan on staying long. No one from the office has responded to my emails.

This complex claims they care about their residents but clearly they do not. I signed a 2 year lease at the end of May with a huge yard which was the complexes big selling point and exactly what I was looking for. After only living here for 3 months, I get an email saying there will be "minor" improvement to my building. Come to find out I will be losing over half of my yard and what is taken away will be used as an "open space". This will leave my living room window completely exposed for people to walk right up to it and f... read more

7/11 update: it’s been 2 hours since I have put in an emergency request with maintenance and nobody has come. The vacant apartment next to mine is flooding and it has now soaked my entire bedroom floor and my bathroom floor is flooded. My carpet will be ruined And I have no doubt I will have to pay for it. Please just send someone for help. Utterly disappointed.

Elevators still don’t work. Crime rate is up. Leasing office still won’t answer phones. DO NOT MOVE HERE. — Trying to get through to someone in the office is like trying to make it snow in Las Vegas. If you press that you’re a resident you get sent to voicemail, if you push that you’re looking to rent you get sent to an off site location. No one ever answers the phone yet there’s 50 million people working in the office doing nothing. They’re helpful until you move in and then you’re on your own. Amenities are nice but the ... read more

I’ve lived in the same unit since 2011 and have enjoyed my time there - until three months ago. I realize apartment life inevitably will have its share of noise issues from nearby units. But what makes one complex superior over another is how management handles the noise issues that persist beyond what is reasonable and expected. And, unfortunately, Thousand Oaks fails in this area. In the last three months, I’ve been woken up nearly every single morning by my neighbor’s alarm clock. Without any exaggeration, it can ring f... read more
