As others have said, the Thrive clinic on 1960 does not take walk ins. I've had awful experiences trying to get our dog into the clinic. There are very few late or weekend appointments. This past Saturday they were closed even though the sign says they are open all day. Our dog's ear was actively bleeding and the staff would not see her. I offered to wait, but they wouldn't budge. Zero customer service. We will not visit Thrive Vet again.

Nobody was at the desk so we had to wait a good 25+ minutes before anybody helped us. We were taken back into a room where we waited another 30+ minutes with nobody coming in. And then when we were finally seen the vet was very short and did not answer any questions in any kind of quality way. My dog was a little nervous and it was almost a burden to them that he was moving around while trying to administer shots. Just so you all know...this location will NOT take walk-ins despite what the website and their front door says. My last visit, I saw the receptionist turn away a pet that had visibly bloody sores from scratching due to allergies. Not cool receptionist. Yes I know...walk-it's can spoil the day but come on! I felt so bad for the dog and had to refrain from saying something to the receptionist. She made an appt for 3 days later. Do NOT go here. We were late for a follow up appointment today with my fairly new dog. The traffic lights in the area were out of sync because of construction on 290, which I get it. We were late for a 1pm appointment and we got there at like.. 1:15 maybe 1:20 and I expected a delay. But we weren't told that or anything. The woman in the lobby not knowing what was wrong with my dog, let her jump and be crazy while shes trying to heal a broken toe. Ok I have had it with Thrive. I no longer have trust with this location or the location in Katy (this location put my dog in the hospital). Communication is horrible and untrustworthy, they always seem unorganized and had a little trouble finding my dog in their "new system". I placed a call at 2pm yesterday to pick up flea medicine and received an email (12 minutes before they close )that I can come pick it up "at my earliest convenience". My past DMV left in January of this year, and they prescribed a medicine that is vital to my dog for his Thyro-tabs, that if not taken would die. I called and requested they fill the script please at this location which isn't a big deal. Instead, they care more about making a buck than taking care of your dog correctly. I've spent last year over $5500 for all my 4 animals. This isn't money that grows on a damn tree either. This Vet clinic on 45 north isn't the best any more since she left. TLDR: Don't take your pet here just because its cheaper. You get what you pay for and the need to take them to another vet for clean up after shotty work. Half assed work from a doctor who is more like a sales woman, also gets rude and defensive if you dare question her work. The techs and receptionist were awesome and welcoming. 9/10 i took my dogs in for shots. Each dog took at least 1hr.. for minimum shot package. 1st dog went fine, Dr. Rowlands was a bit condescending regarding my pet. *Did the exam which didnt have a... read more

Call to make an appointment and they were able to get me in same day. The location was across town from where I live but was excited to get it taken care of. I just arrived and they told me that they cannot see me. Asked me to come back four hours later. We're service don't recommend.

My appointment was scheduled at 2:30pm,I called the vet at 11:20am to see if we could be worked in at an earlier time they said yeah we will try and work you in early. We show up 11:30, I check in and everything even claimed the free exam from yelp, all of a sudden they said we can't be seen early...they are running behind.
