Very disappointed with the service from Timpson. I took my Vivienne Westwood watch in for repair on 25 June and was originally told it would take around 10–14 days. I have only just received my watch back today, 10 September, nearly 11 weeks later. During this time, the communication was terrible. I wasn’t kept updated on the progress and wasn’t even contacted to tell me when the watch was ready for collection. Shocking broke my Tag while putting a battery in then charged 500 pound to repair it. Disgusting. Complaint has been lodged.
My Omega watch initially had the battery replaced in store and was re sealed. The gentleman was a pleasure to deal with and incredibly professional. Unfortunately, I then wore it in the sea and it leaked water into the case, so clearly there was an issue with the re seal. I took it back in store and the staff member was very apologetic and agreed to send it off to be professionally resealed with a new battery. I handed in a ring to be sized down expecting to receive a ring that fits. I was able to use a ring sizer to select the size that fits me, which was witnessed by the cashier who served me. When I received the ring back, after nearly 3 weeks, it was not the size that I had asked for, and didn’t look like it had been sized down at all. I wouldn’t recommend Timpsons for ring resizing based on my experience
I took my watch to Timpson for a replacement battery as I had good service last year with the bracelet on the watch which had broken. I thought putting a new battery in would be quick and easy to do, that would not be the case. It was eventually replaced and it was said to be working but the back wouldn’t fit properly and there was one screw wouldn’t go back in straight and was sticking out and sharp too. I bought a Timpsons lifetime battery guarantee in 2018 for £85, the same guarantee todays costs £210.. 👎 I don’t understand what warrants the increase.. Regular battery change( not lifetime)today costs £110..👎
I took four watches into my local timpsons branch. The first being a Longines analog watch that had the crown missing, I requested that a new crown be fitted, the watch was sent away, after a couple of weeks I was told that the watch had been sent to Longines in Switzerland. Apparently they recommended that the watch have a complete service, a new glass fitted and the crown replaced, at a cost of £475.00. Awful service at Sheffield Branch who was rude abrasive and told me my watch had not arrived when I was told it by text . Was told to leave and would call security if I dont leave . Also would not give my his name to complain I was shocked by this guy behaviour It was a total disgrace Service 2 days was a total contrast on 28th July 26
