Terrible coordination I brought my 4Runner in for a simple serpentine belt change and to change out a faulty one yr old battery. The service took about 1.5 hours in total with an appointment. When I went outside I looked to see what the new belt looked like, but I really could not see a difference. As it turns out, they never even changed the belt, but they did charge me for it!!!!! $128.00 and they never even did the work!!! Every time I have come for servicing, there have been suggestions to replace parts. Its like milking money every time with different things. I am not an expert and hence gave them the benefit of doubt until last time when the rep mentioned all tires are worn out and they should be replaced. This time I was sure they are simply trying to make money since I had changed 2 tires recently. Upon further research, the service rep found out that I indeed had replaced 2 tires. This is simply put, a terrible dealership. I brought my 2008 Toyota Prius, which I had purchased from them and brought in to them for every service related issue throughout the years that I have had it, and after two hours of waiting for the service to be completed, the service manager came to me and set that when they were test driving the car afterwords, it caught on fire. No no no no no I would not send any of my family or friends to this dealership. We looked here when we were looking to trade our car in. By the way it was a Toyota as we purchased from there a couple of years before. They were rude then and are still rude. But it is so close to my house. Like 5 minutes. We actually had heard from another friend that they had a bad experience there as well. They said they went Toyota of Gastonia. So we went there and ended up trading our car there. Great experience! Service department has never been able to fix our car. The steering has been shaky since new, while under warranty they balanced tires aligned the front end repeatedly. When the warranty ended we are stuck paying for these services to make the car driveable. Now with all the acceleration recalls most customers are saying how issues were just ignored at the dealer and the company, we do believe that is so since we experienced it first hand. You know that stereotype that Dealerships Service departments will rip you off? Well Toyota of Lake Norman is the reason they have that reputation. I took my Camry to Toyota of Lake Norman to have the sunroof checked after I found out that no other Service companies would look at a factory installed Sunroof and a dealership was my only option.
