Brought my 2023 Toyota Tundra in for its 30,000 mile service. Service advisor tried to charge me over $1400 dollars in completely unnecessary service items. When I asked for just the oil change and service I came in for it was only $130. They also wanted me to replace the rear brake pads that are at 50% of service life. I felt the service was very poor and trying to push me into unnecessary service items. Will be taking my business to another dealership.
They sent me a promotional offer but ended up charging more for the same service. Additionally, I had to explicitly ask about the external car wash, and the advisor discouraged it, mentioning that the car wash was old and might cause scratches on the car. They also asked me to sign a waiver.
During my last visit, the advisor recommended changing the air filters. I couldn't recall if they were replaced in the previous service, so I agreed. Later, I checked my records and saw they had already been changed. Filters are usually recommended every 15K miles, and past recommendations came after inspections, not upfront. Recommending a replacement without checking first didn't seem right, and I ended up paying $150 for an unnecessary service. After the service, I noticed the TPMS light blinking at home. Poor bedside manner, customer service poor.
Meet some called Danny Bent. Very unprofessional. Poor customer service. But it goes without saying Jon Tagupa was super helpful and he knows how to deal with Customers. It was good experience up until Jon Tagupa went for lunch and that's when I had to deal with Bent he needs to learn to speak to customers.
